Live Webcasting
Launch Live

Launch Live is a virtual venue for live concert webcasting. It was designed specifically for members of Intel's Pentium III WebOutfitter service. We built Launch Live during the spring of 1999 and then produced a summer-long series of live concert webcasts from all over the world. Optimized for Pentium III, we designed Launch Live to work within the limitations of today's web while pointing the direction towards the future of interactive broadband entertainment. The Launch Live virtual venue enables its users to view live concert webcasts from multiple perspectives, interact with artists and fans in creative ways, and access a variety of exclusive multimedia content provided by Launch, ArtistDirect and Spinner. We developed content for the site in eleven different languages. (Apparently Blues Traveler isn't very big in China yet.) Launch Live has been demonstrated by Intel executives at Herb Allen's Sun Valley retreat and ZDNet's Broadband Content & Applications Conference.
